FAQs
What kind of illustrations do you provide?
Our focus is on providing drawings for intellectual property applications, specifically Design, Utility, Trademark, and Trade Dress. However, if you want us to draw your cat wearing full fishing garb, showing off their day's catch, we can do that too.
For examples see Non-Patent drawings.
What is a Patent Drawing/Illustration?
A patent drawing, also known as a patent illustration, is a visual representation accompanying a patent application. These drawings serve to provide a clear and detailed depiction of the invention described in the patent application. Patent drawings are essential for conveying the design, structure, and functionality of the invention to patent examiners, enabling them to understand the innovation more thoroughly.
These drawings can include various types, such as perspective views, cross-sectional views, flowcharts, diagrams, and any other visual elements necessary to illustrate the invention. The goal is to enhance the clarity and understanding of the invention, helping patent examiners assess its uniqueness.

Will they meet patent office requirements?
Simple answer, yes! Are you filing in the USA with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)? China (CNIPA)? Europe (EPO)? Japan (JPO)? Korea (KIPO)? India? Australia?
We have completed drawings for all applications.
Each office has its own specific requirements when it comes to design or utility drawings. Therefore, depending on where you have chosen to file for protection, the drawings will need to be tailored to each specific office.
It's best to consult with your patent attorney to choose the office(s) that are best for you.
